Top 9 Improvements of the Redesigned 2012 Honda CR-V

The new 2012 Honda CR-V has been completely redesigned. The improvements have been so well received that the 2012 Honda CR-V is now the TOP SELLING SUV IN CANADA!! Way to go Honda.

See our Top 9 Improvements of the 2012 Honda CR-V:

ONE: USB port in all models, let's face it, an iPod is a fact of life these days!

TWO: Bluetooth connectivity for hands free (and legal) calling

THREE: Rear camera, this comes on when you put the vehicle in reverse.
It even has 3 separate viewing angles, normal, wide, and "top down" ! The three angles really help with tight parking spots and when using a hitch.

FOUR:
Heated front seats... even on the models with cloth seats!

FIVE: Steering wheel audio controls! This keeps your eyes on the road and is very convenient. You are able to scroll through various audio sources including radio, CD, USB, and Bluetooth. When you sync your phone to the car, your music streams wirelessly through the car stereo speakers; no need for a physical connection!

SIX:  This is an important one! Better fuel economy than previous model, with increased horsepower and performance. The new CR-V drives like a sedan; there is no “truckiness” in this vehicle. It still allows you to have better visibility than a passenger car, due to a higher seating position.

SEVEN: Text message technology reads your texts to you out loud in a soothing female voice. No need to hide your phone and read texts!

EIGHT: You can fold the rear seats down from behind the car or from outside the back door with one pull. So much easier when you have a baby in your hands or a couple bags of groceries.

NINE: Cargo capacity is best in class and has the lowest cargo floor. This makes it much easier to load your vehicle; especially for smaller people.

Our Top 9 is just a glimpse of why the 2012 Honda CR-V is the best selling SUV in Canada. If you are in the market for a vehicle I strongly suggest visiting our dealership to take it on a test drive and enjoy the smooth, quiet ride. I would love to show you one!

EMPLOYMENT FACILITATION NETWORK RECOGNIZES LOCAL EMPLOYERS AT BREAKFAST EVENT October 26, 2011

Cambridge - The Employment Facilitation Network of Cambridge and North Dumfries is hosting its annual Employer Recognition Breakfast on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. The event’s main focus is on recognizing those employers in the community that have gone above and beyond in helping people by providing work experiences, training and employment opportunities.

Cambridge Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Greg Durocher will host this event as emcee for the 6th year in a row. The EFN is honoured to have popular speaker, M.C., actor, former broadcast executive and radio personality, Mr. Neil Aitchison as this year’s keynote speaker.

The EFN wants to publicly acknowledge the partnerships that the committee’s member agencies have forged with local employers and the mutually beneficial effects that have resulted from this initiative. It is important that the community know about the steps these employers have taken to assist people and the inspiration that it has brought to other employers to do the same.

Honda's deep Canadian roots

Honda's deep Canadian roots

Honda Canada's Head Office        Honda Canada Manufacturing in Alliston, Ontario

By Takashi Sekiguchi Published in the Edmonton Journal
on September 21, 2011

Honda Motor's founder Soichiro Honda believed that to be accepted globally you must build a global company with a local point of view. He called it "glocalization." During my 29 years with Honda, I have had the opportunity to personally witness this philosophy in many countries, including Japan, Thailand, the Philippines and, most recently, the United States. This April, I was appointed president of Honda Canada Inc. and I am very pleased to see that Mr. Honda's philosophy is alive and well here.

Throughout our entire operation in Canada, I see the global vision and pride that the Honda family shares in every country where we operate. Equally as important though, I see a corporate culture that is unique to this country - from the associates who build, promote and sell our products, to the sponsorship and philanthropic choices we make. Everything we do here is planned and executed specifically for Canadians.

This was not achieved overnight. Since Honda Canada's earliest days in 1969, when we sold only a handful of cars, motorcycles and power equipment in Canada, Honda has been committed to becoming an integral part of this country's fabric. Last year, we earned more than 275,000 Canadian customers. The products they bought range from Canada's top-selling car, the Civic, to the snowblowers used to get them from the driveway to the road. We sold the minivans and trucks to get Canadians to the cottage - and the generators, lawn mowers, string trimmers and marine engines they use when they get there. No other auto manufacturer comes close to touching so many Canadians in so many ways.

As we grew within the Canadian market, we continued to reinvest back into the country that has been so loyal to us and this year we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of manufacturing cars and trucks in Alliston, Ont. Our Canadian associates have built nearly 5.5 million cars at our two manufacturing plants, including more than three million of the popular Civic - Canada's No. 1 selling passenger car for 13 years straight.

Our Canadian plants have also produced many of our luxurybrand Acura vehicles, including the Canadian-exclusive CSX sedan, MDX luxury sport-utility vehicle and ZDX sports coupe crossover. Canadian associates have earned a reputation for uncompromising quality and, as such, will also be producing our allnew Honda CR-V in 2012 - another of our most popular models. And while we did experience some significant manufacturing delays as Japan recovered from this year's devastating earthquake and tsunami, we are excited to now be getting close to resuming full production with no jobs lost and a family stronger than ever.

Producing these products in the countries where we sell them is very important to Honda. In fact, in 2010, more than half the cars we sold in Canada were built here through the high-quality efforts of our 4,200 associates. We're also proud to indirectly employ more than 15,000 Canadians through our national dealership networks. So, while some Canadians still think that Honda and Acura vehicles are "imports," in most cases they are not. They are as Canadian as the seasons for which they're built.

In 2012, in addition to the allnew Honda CR-V, several other vehicles will receive significant enhancements, including the eightpassenger Honda Pilot sport-utility vehicle with best-in-class fuel efficiency, our Ridgeline pickup truck, the fun and super-efficient Fit, and the Insight hybrid.

Our philanthropic and sponsorship commitments will also continue into 2012 as we proceed as the title sponsor of the Honda Indy Toronto, official vehicle provider of the Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary Relay Tour, and a proud sponsor and fan of Canada's baseball team - the Toronto Blue Jays. Our Honda Canada Foundation will also continue to enhance the social well-being of Canadians by awarding grants to registered charities with a focus on environment, engineering, education and safety, all focused on Canadian youth.

This approach to being a Canadian company will remain unchanged and our Canadian roots will continue to deepen. We will always be a company that is committed to providing products that meet the needs of Canadians and that are efficient, safe and fun to use with high levels of durability, quality and reliability - providing our buyers with fantastic value for money.

We will push ourselves harder than ever to be more efficient and reduce our impact on the environment even further. In fact, this fall we expect to receive our LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification for our new headquarters office in Markham, Ont., and we continue to achieve "zero waste to landfill" at our Alliston assembly plants.

In short, our commitment to Canadians is to value our employees, listen to our customers, respect and learn from our critics, and be a company that you are proud to call Canadian.
